By recycling used postage stamps you can help beat sight loss forever – and it’s free and so easy to do!

Despite the convenience of modern communications, receiving and sending letters and parcels is still a special way to keep in touch with loved ones. Better still, the used stamps on the envelopes and packaging provide an easy way to support eye research – and it’s completely free!

Just save your used stamps and request your pre-paid materials so we can arrange for a collection envelope or box to be sent to you free of charge.

How it works:

All types of postage stamps are most welcome, except for pre-printed post office mailing labels and franking machine labels or postage. Stamps collections are also most gratefully received and treated with great respect. We sell stamps by weight and we receive £20 for every kilogram of donated stamps.

Step 1: Order your pre-paid collection envelopes or boxes by completing the online form or by calling us on 0117 325 7757 or by emailing us at [email protected].

Step 2: Collect your used postage stamps as letters and cards come through your letterbox.  There is no need to sort stamps, but it does help if they are at least sorted by UK and international (note that Channel Islands stamps count as international). Please also ensure that you leave approximately one centimetre of envelope or packaging around each stamp.

Step 3: Place your stamps in your pre-paid envelope or collection box, attach our pre-paid address label and pop it in the post. That’s it!

How many stamps are you donating?

If you have less than 3kg of stamps you can send them through the post using our materials as per step 3 above. If you have more than 3kg of stamps, you can arrange a courier collection from your home completely free of charge by calling our postage sorting partner, Xchange Master, on 0141 328 9357.

Do used stamps really help?

Yes, they do! Every day 250 more people are told that they are losing their sight. That’s one person every six minutes. With your help, we can support more research to find new prevention and treatment options for eye diseases in both children and adults, and help beat sight loss forever.

Thank you so much for your support!
