Mike Daw, Chief Executive of National Eye Research Centre has announced he will be retiring in October after five years in the post. Mike has championed the need for more investment in eye research saying "Even after five very enjoyable years in the post I still find it strange that sight loss, which affects more than two million people nationally, attracts less than 2% of all the money invested in medical research. However, I now have to leave it to my successor to continue the fight to win more money for eye research."

The search for Mike's successor is underway and the closing date for applications is 28 June. For those interested the recruitment pack can be DOWNLOADED HERE
